Biography

Born in 1918 in Wuqia County, Jusup Mamay was recognized as the greatest Manaschi (epic singer) of modern times. He could recite all eight parts of the Manas Epic from memory, totaling over 600,000 lines. His performances captivated audiences and his recordings have become invaluable cultural treasures for the Kyrgyz people.
